Tonight Phoebe Legere, Painter/Artist/Musician/Playwright/Filmmaker/Philanthropist delivered an oil painting "Deeply Human" to one of the amazing donors to Phoebe's arts education nonprofit www.foundationfornewamericanart.org.

Muchisimas Gracias to all my darling amors who came out to the ACKER awards at Theater for the New City last night. You can taste some of the electric creative energy of LAST NIGHT today at the ACKER ART SHOW at CLTV Gallery -209 East 3rd St. -- TODAY is the LAST day of the show! I'm profoundly honored to have a painting in the ACKER ART show. 

The Acker Art Show includes the astonishing art of Clayton Patterson, brilliant Graffiti legends Mers One, DUKE9 and James TOP (HipHop Hall of Fame) as well as legendary Tattoo artists like Richie Fie. It is a beautiful beautiful beautiful show curated by Acker winner Jim Muscarella. My painting is next to a David Lynch on the back wall. Phoebe Legere Art Sells To Collector

 

Phoebe Legere Announced on Instagram that her Painting "Looking East," selected for the official National Association of Women Artists @NAWA "Art of the Everyday" show, Oil, 27 x 28 x 2 framed._2023 _$1400 has sold before the show opened.

Collectors clamored for the artwork and the sale was concluded one day prior to the official opening of the show, June 17th.

Phoebe Legere Selected for Two Artist Residency Programs in Italy

Phoebe Legere is currently in Italy exploring new artistic directions in Performance Art using tropes, characters and concepts from Commedia Dell' Arte while wearing her own designs/costumes created from repurposed discarded items found in the Canal outside her apartment window.

The Emily Harvey Foundation offers residencies in Venice, Italy, for innovative international artists, writers, musicians, videographers, dancers and other creative thinkers 

After Phoebe's time in Venice, Phoebe goes to Tuscany to enjoy another residency for her painting and animatronic art.

“We'll be starting at sunrise. We'll probably paint until noon. Then we'll go back to the Dwight Derby House for a party. We'll have food, wine and music (Musicians TBA)  It's all #FREE and I am looking forward to a day of great experiences. 

 

“I painted Metacomet (King Philip). I interpreted the only known drawing of him. It is almost overwhelming to IMAGINE the physical magnificence of King Philip, Chief of the Wampanoag, Grand Sachem, Spiritual and Military Leader, heir to the Crystal Throne, heir to all the sacred objects, wampum history and lands of the most spectacular waterfront property on Planet Earth.
