"My Dream Is Alive" Painting By Phoebe Legere At the Every Woman Biennial Art Show

From Phoebe Legere's Instagram Post:

"With my friends at the Every Woman Biennial show... a feminist collective political art action that is changing the cultural narrative. Women are the Queens of Creativity. 'My Dream Is Alive', my painting, above right."

Phoebe Legere Art Opening: Every Woman Biennial

 From Phoebe Legere's Facebook post:

"This is my painting "My Dream is Alive." It is oil on liinen, 38 x 38. I'm honored to be showing this painting in the @EveryWomanBiennial today.

The opening is today at 47 Great Jones St, La Mama Galleria. If you have questions about the meaning of this painting, or the old masters techniques I use - come to the opening! It's going to be amazing. I have to go now because they are making a movie and I'm going to make a statement:

I see my work not as a reflection of gender, but as a rebellion against the entrenched politics of anatomy. My canvas is a battleground, reclaiming our sacred female power of expression. Women are not equitably represented in museums and spaces. So we created a collective action to reclaim our value. What you see at the Every Woman Biennial is the POWER OF COLLECTIVE FERTILITY IN ACTION.

BTW if you buy my paintings or music you are supporting the Foundation for New American Art a 501c3 arts education and presenting organization. We are strategic partners with the EWB nonprofit. EVERY WOMAN BIENNIAL CELEBRATES THE ART & NFT MAGIC of PHOEBE LEGERE * TONIGHT!

BREAKING NEWS!

Tonight at Super Chief Gallery! NFT Art by Phoebe Legere is celebrated as part of the Every Woman Biennial!

-------------------------------------------------------

NEWSFLASH: From Phoebe Legere's Facebook Page:

I am thrilled to announce that tomorrow my NFT “Holy Crypto Scroll” will be exhibited at Super Chief Gallery on 11th St.

I just #sold two NFT’s! AMAZING! Why do I #celebrate my sales?

The reason we make art and music is to share it. We hear & see music & art inside our soul. Music & art are bigger than we are. In the not so distant past, if you were born a #female you were suppressed, ignored and didn't have a prayer of being shown in #museums, #galleries, and #Festivals. Your work was assessed at a fraction of the value of male art. You were dismissed as a clown no matter what your content or level of virtuosity. Your value was the size of your breasts and the tightness of your receptacle for male reproductive material. You had to sleep with a boatload of gatekeepers to get "Made" as a superstar. Trust me. That was the cost of admission to the great gladiatorial arena known as the Art & Music #Market.

That is why I love the Every Woman #Biennial and I’m part of it. I hope you will join us as we create a more beautiful future for the women of tomorrow.
