THE 29: A NEW YORK ART MOVEMENT DECLARES ITSELF

Tomorrow night, October 8, at 6 PM, I will be at PS122 Gallery in the East Village for the opening of THE 29: ADDED VALUES + / a generous landscape.
Seventeen women artists. One gallery. A declaration.
My CRISIS OF THE IMAGE is at the front of the gallery.
It is a 54 x 80 inch oil on linen, painted in 2025. My brush becomes a baseball bat. Kandinsky collides with Frans Hals, George Bellows and de Kooning. Franz Kline eats breakfast with Hilma af Klint. Alizarin Crimson becomes flesh, nocturne, danger, desire.
It is a virile painting.
It is my vote for the future of female leadership.
THE 29 belongs to the great tradition of New York artists who stopped waiting for permission and built their own world — the 10th Street galleries, the New York School, poetry, Happenings, underground cinema, punk, No Wave, FUN Gallery, the East Village itself.
We are doing it again.
We are not here to take.
We are here to add.
Tomorrow night, come see what seventeen women artists have made when we give ourselves permission to be wild, intellectually serious, erotic, funny, political, unruly and alive.
And on October 24 at 5 PM, I will make my argument physical.
I will perform TOTAL ART SYNTHESIS in front of CRISIS OF THE IMAGE — singing, dancing, reciting, playing seven instruments, wearing giant sculptures, with cinema projected across my body.
Painting. Music. Film. Sculpture. Theater. Dance. Costume. Language.
One living organism.
But first: tomorrow night.
