Phoebe Legere, one of the most significant artists and important female artists of our time, was inducted into the National Association of Women Artists on November 7 at the National Arts Club, 15 Gramercy Park South, New York, NY 10003. Phoebe Legere joins a legion of significant women artists in NAWA including:
Judy Chicago, Louise Nevelson, Alice Need, Marisol Escobar and Blanche Lazzell.

Phoebe Legere said, " Elizabeth Cady Stanton, best friend of Susan B. Anthony, author and chief philosopher of the woman's rights and suffrage movements was President of the National Association of Women Artists for years.
