The "Festival de la Posibilidad," created and hosted by arts education nonprofit Foundation for New American Art, invited the community to an afternoon of fun entertainment and educational art, music and dance workshops for children and adults on July 17. The event was sponsored in part by a "Challenge America" grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
On July 16, the "Festival" hosted a musical concert in the Clemente Center Theater that celebrated cultural diversity. Artists and musicians from Africa, the Caribbean, Columbia and China performed at the standing room only event.
Phoebe Legere, the Founder and Executive Director of the Foundation for New American Art, entertained children in an edu-tainment puppet show celebrating the art and life of artist Frida Kahlo.
