Dear Art Lover,

It has been a banner year for us here at the Foundation for New American Art. We hope you are enjoying 2019 as much as we are!

The Foundation for New American Art brings free art, music, dance, theater, poetry and performance art to the children of low-income families in New York, California, Maine, Florida and Pennsylvania.

We bring Native American elders, local avant-garde artists and composers, and children together. Modern art and traditional wisdom synchronize in transcendent and beautiful ways. Childhood is a golden age of creativity. Our "Brushes Not Guns" program is  dedicated to nurturing the visionary artists of the future.

While cultural arts are losing support in schools, colleges and communities, we are creating Cultural Arts hubs in high-need neighborhoods. In 2020 we will expand our programs into Puerto Rico, North and South Dakota, Arizona, Northern Quebec and Mexico through our new “Indigenous Art Without Borders” initiative.

We invite you to experience the transforming and healing joy of our Lower East Side Children’s Chorus and after school children’s Performance Art program on Saturday, April 27, 2019, 2 pm at 155 First Ave., Theater for The New City in Manhattan.

Join us for a reception afterward where you can meet the artists, teachers, elders, children, parents and volunteers who are the lifeblood of New American Art.

Sincerely,

Executive Director and Founder of the
Foundation for New American Art
