Phoebe Legere Presents Portrait To Earl Dax At Joe's Pub

Of the night of magical performances at Joe's Pub, April 6th to celebrate Earl Dax's birthday, Phoebe Legere said, "Sunday night at Joe's Pub was a night of SUPERB performances. The high point for me was when I accompanied exquisite artiste John Kelly as he sang "Mack the Knife" I was in heaven, UTTERLY transported by the music, the singer and the dance. John is "The Street Singer" in Martha Clarke’s revival of Three Penny Opera at the Atlantic Theater Company.
As Earl Dax said, "Watching John Kelly's dark and beautiful interpretation of "Mack the Knife" was a very special moment -- made all the more special because Phoebe Legere, genius beyond genius, played the piano. Phoebe's own set brought down the house... so much talent in one person it's simply jaw-dropping. The portrait she painted of me is stunning, and what an incredible gift... Through Phoebe's eyes I can see my beauty."
Here is the portrait held by Phoebe as Earl Dax holds Phoebe's accordian:

NEXT Magazine featured a roundup of stellar talent offering b'day greets and kudos to Earl Dax. Of the write-ups, Earl Dax said, " Thanks, Next Magazine! And thanks to Justin Sayre, Nick Hallett, Amber Martin, Max Steele, Phoebe Legere and Joey Arias for the lovely sentiments. It is a privilege and a thrill to work with such wildly talented artists, and it's incredibly gratifying to be a part of this vital downtown performance community. Sunday's show at Joe's Pub is going to be, as Dina Martina would say, 'Off the charts!'"
