INTRODUCING STURGEADOR DALI BY Phoebe Legere

Sturgeador Dali

Says Phoebe Legere, "This is one of the characters in my new game HOOKED. Stugeador Dali is an Atlantic Sturgeon."

Multidisciplinary Artist Phoebe Legere is combining painting, tech and programming to create a new genre: Fine Art Gaming. Visit Phoebe's website, PhoebeLegereArt.com to learn more. Meanwhile, say hello to Sturgeador Dali!

Sturgeon is a fish that lives in the Hudson River. Sturgeon grow to 14 feet long and can live up to 100 years. The Latin name is Acipenseridae. This fish was first identified in 1830 by biologist Prince Charles Bonaparte ( a nephew of Napoleon.)

Says Phoebe Legere, "When I am standing in the Hudson painting the sturgeon sometimes leap high in the air right near me!   They are so big they can kill you! Sturgeon are from the Mesozoic period - they developed right after the Cretaceous-Tertiary Extinction.

"Sturgeons are survivors with attitude. Look at the magnificent mustaches! Those are really electromagnetic sensory organs with which they stroke the bottom of the river. Isn't nature glorious? I'll be doing serious paintings for this serious Conservation game... but to do the programming and get it all working right I just do these fun quick sketches!
