Outlaw legend,
songwriter Phoebe Legere headlines a night of underground Folk Americana music
at the Steel City Coffee House in Phoenixville, PA. August 4.
Phoebe’s Top 20
Americana album HEART OF LOVE is a hymn
to life on the American Highway. Legere is a “Master Songwriter.”
Interview Magazine wrote: “She is a honky tonk genius.”
NPR raved: “Her beautiful voice will take your breath away…”
Billboard’s Roman Kozack said,”Phoebe Legere is the female
Frank Zappa.”
Her song Cajun Moon
is a song about riding an alligator while making love and drinking bourbon out
of a to-go cup! Legere's one cover song,
Jambalaya, by her Hero Hank Williams, went to number #1 on Maine and South
Carolina Roots Radio. She is best known for her hit song: “Wrong Honky
Tonk” “I was in the Wrong Honky Tonk at
the Right Time and that’s how I fell in love…”
“Phoebe Legere is the Annie
Oakley of alt. country music!” - raved Downtown Magazine.
Phoebe Legere has
been embraced by the Outlaw Americana community and music lovers around the
world. Phoebe is a role model for country girls everywhere, balancing
compassion, moral and ethical values, community service with a kick-ass take-no-prisoners attitude.
Her talent and faith-filled magnetism are “Mesmerizing.”
Hailed as a “Master Songwriter and
Storyteller” Legere has been tapped by Hollywood for her spectacular physical
attributes. She starred on popular Nickelodeon Children’s TV show Naked
Brothers Band. She also starred in such underground classics Toxic Avenger 2 and 3, Mondo New York and Marquis de Slime. NPR did a one-hour feature on Phoebe’s
music calling her “An American Original.” She is a legend in France, the star
of a popular midnight film “Marquis de Slime” which she wrote and in which she
stars as a guitar-playing female wrestler with supernatural powers.
Ms. Legere is
currently recording an all-French album in Montreal with Artic Records for
release in 2018. She opened for David Bowie on his national tour in 1991.
