The Steinberger XL2 bass had serial # 2698. Ned Steinberger personally adjusted the tone of this amazing bass just for MONAD.
Phoebe had her blue Fender strat that day. Phoebe played about seven different instruments in the band. Phoebe was the first to play the keyboard/guitar, that become an early signature in Phoebe's stage performances. Phoebe's model was The Liberation (shown above).
The guitar/keyboard has been widely copied but no one can play it like the classically trained Phoebe who also honed her chops in jazz studying with John Lewis of the Modern Jazz Quartet.
