Update: Medfield Cultural Council Honors Artist Phoebe Legere
In a previous post, we were lucky to see a preview of how the Medfield Cultural Council is honoring the work of Phoebe Legere with her beautiful painting, "Chuck Paints The Charles."
Here is a preview of more from the upcoming show and celebration of Phoebe, in the artist's own words:
"Last year, at the height of the Pandemic, when all my gigs were canceled and my career was
kaput, Ron Gustavson (one of my Patreon Patrons) and the Medfield Cultural Council gave me a grant to paint the wetlands and iconic landmarks of Medfield.
Thank you RON!
In these paintings you see the Charles River, Medfield Hospital, Ron Gustavson and my design for Bonnet Park. (Medfield employed thousands of young girls in a factory that made Bonnets.)"

SPLENDID NIGHT AT NATIONAL ARTS CLUB * Phoebe Legere Painting * SOLD
Beautiful evening at the National Arts Club! Phoebe Legere's painting sold benefiting the Foundation for New American Art, a 501c3 nonprofit Phoebe launched to help restore and create arts education programs for underserved children in low-income communities.
Laura Daly, in a wonderful black and white polka dot dress wearing a hat from her millinery collection and Sue Rakowski, author of "From Sue to Suetastic," joined Phoebe in the celebration. Said Phoebe Legere, "What a marvelous night! Here I am at the National Arts Club. I sold my painting 'The American Art Spirit.' I painted this oil in 2021, en plein air, in Rhinebeck, NY, while standing in the Hudson River. **I love to share my paintings with sensitive people. A painting is really a prayer, a hymn to the amazing beauty of the Universe and Humans."
