Busy Summer for Phoebe Legere

The Abduction of Persephone by the Lord of Hades University;  and her Joyous Return in Springtime
It's been a very busy summer for Phoebe Legere. The summer kicked off with
Phoebe at the LES Festival of the Arts and continued on to glorious Provincetown for Phoebe's show at The Paramount  at The Crown and Anchor for the Afterglow Festival.

Phoebe's performance received notice in the Spotlight Section of Provincetown Magazine with John Waters on the cover:

 From June agenda notes:
“Right now: I am busy hanging this painting at TNC for the LES Festival of the Arts. I intended to call it ‘Rape of the Art Spirit by the Academy,’ but now, with the layered addition of the exuberant girl, it becomes ‘The Abduction of Persephone by the Lord of Hades University; and her Joyous Return in Springtime.’

After hanging the painting I'm going to hear Pauline Oliveros' score for SCUM at MOMA . Come to the Lower East Side Festival of the Arts at Theater for the New City this weekend.

Stayed tuned for more updates on Phoebe's website ~phoebelegere.com~
